We're getting ready for summer to officially begin. School's out tomorrow! Sunday is Father's Day and everyone will be here for a picnic after church.
Maggie and Emma will be singing their first duet in church. They've been singing for a couple of years and they are adorable! The children's choir has about eight members, now. They look so angelic in their red choir robes. I jokingly call the choir "Emma and the Pips".
I'll be keeping the girls all day Monday and Tuesday while Kara will be at school. Hopefully, the girls and I will be at the pool! Ah-h-h-h, cool water, hot sun, the smell of sunscreen, the taste of Snickers!
We were at the pool last week. Emma and a friend decided they wanted to go down the slide. You have to be 48" tall. He went up the ladder first - no, here he comes down. He's not 48" tall, yet. There goes Emma - Hey! Emma! Stand up really tall, stretch your neck up! Uh oh, here she comes down. Drat!!! She's not 48" tall yet, either! I was afraid that she'd start crying but she didn't. She seemed almost relieved that she can't go down the slide this year.
We finished the Father's Day placemat for their Dad and I wrapped it up for them to take home. I hope they don't forget where they put it! I've also finished several more crocheted things for my new grandbaby. I can't wait for him/her to get here. I want to see that baby's face! I know Baby will be beautiful because Nicole and Justin are.
