I had the girls stay over last night and then kept them all day long. (Whew!) We went to Browntown to vote, I went with the adults and they went to the children's side.
We spent the day inside because of the gloomy weather. They made art projects, played on the computer, watch a little Disney on TV (good thing my shows were taped!) and wanted to eat every two hours - like when they were babies! Emma and I made macaroni and cheese for lunch and she helped me clean up afterward. Maggie was nowhere in sight!
After going through all the puzzles and some of the books, Emma found the little paper dolls and played with them for awhile. We reread the (prize-winning) scrapbook together and dug out the old photo albums of the two of them.
Earlier, Maggie played waitress and took our orders for lunch (10 minutes after breakfast) and fixed us tea, orange juice and bananas. I drank the tea and poured the orange juice back into the jug (without her seeing me). Unfortunately, the bananas had to go into the trash. I couldn't eat them after having pancakes 10 minutes earlier!
I made chili for dinner. While we were eating, Emma asked if they were going to stay for dinner! I said, "Yes, what do you think you're eating?" She said "Chili?" I told her that the chili was dinner. "Really?" she asked, as if I were kidding.
I just love 'em to pieces!
