What About Grace?

I've been reading a book called "About Grace" for the book club I think I might like to join. The book is the most boring thing I've ever tried to slog through. Usually, if I start a book and realize I'd be better off doing (egad!) housework, I just quit reading it and return it post haste to the library. This book is nothing "about Grace"! It's about her father who dreams things and then the things happen. He dreamed he accidently drowned his baby daughter, Grace. He was so afraid that he'd actually do it, that he left his wife (who's still married to a guy in Alaska) and baby daughter and ended up in some subtropical island where he stayed for about 25 years. Now, he's trying to find his daughter. If you took out all the boring stuff, you'd have about one chapter of, say, 30 pages. I'd be done with it. But I'm not done with it. Snore.

I'm not reading it now, but I can feel my eyelids already starting to droop just thinking about reading it.
