Back when the girls were smaller, I found two bicycles at different yard sales. One was $6.00 and the other was $1.00. I cleaned them up and the girls had fun riding them around our yard.
As girls will do, these little girls have grown a little and now are too big for the little 12" bikes. One of the bikes was still at the house, getting shabbier and shabbier as the months rolled on. The little tires were flat and the training wheels were cast aside under some bushes.
I asked Emma's last year's teacher if she thought I could give it to the kindergarten playground. She was very enthusiastic that I bring it in. I got Jimmy to inflate the tires and reattach the training wheels. Today I took it to the school, wheeled it around to the playground, opened the gate and rolled it in.
I can only imagine its new life as the Kindergarten Bicycle!
