At long last!!! The pool opened today and we were there. Luckily, the day was hot 'cause the water was cold! Emma had trouble finding her bathing suit, Kara couldn't find the sunscreen, we had no money, but - Hey! We aren't going to let little things like no money, swimsuits or sunscreen keep us from that freezin' cold water! Heck, no!
Actually, when we finally eased our bodies into the water, it wasn't half bad. The girls certainly enjoyed it. It was excruciatingly cold at first, but after we were numbed up, it was really ok! I brought some sunscreen for the girls, Emma packed lunches, we found our pool chairs and we were good to go.
The best thing about today was - our first Snickers bars of the season! Well, for Maggie and me, anyway. Emma's decided her favorite is Starburst.
