The Seven Dwarfs of Allergy Season

Grumpy, Sleepy, Sneezy, Itchy, Scratchy, Puffy and Stuffy

I thought I was going to get through this pollen season unscathed. I've watched Maggie struggle through it with tears streaming down her face. Her red eyes are waterfalls, poor kid! Several of my friends have had lots of breathing problems; red, scratchy eyes; stuffy noses - all the fun allergy symptoms. But I was not having any problems. Until tonight...

Emma and I were out on the porch this afternoon playing catch with a ball. When the ball landed on the porch, I noticed that it was getting "stuff" on it. Then I realized the "stuff" was pollen! The porch floor was yellowish with it and it was getting on the ball. I thought that maybe we should hose the porch off but decided that was probably too much trouble. Hmmmm.... woulda, coulda, shoulda.

My nose is getting stuffy and my eyes are scratchy and itchy. I want to rub them but I know that'll make it worse. I feel as if I have sand in my eyes. I guess I should probably close my bedroom windows tonight.
