You're Driving Me Crazy!

I was anxious to get home quickly (sometimes IBS just happens!!!) and everything was going smoothly on the trip back until I came up behind a "student driver" car! Oh, good grief!! This couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Browntown Road is a county road and after a few sections marked '35 mph' and '45 mph', you finally come to a section that's marked 'End 45 mph'. I don't think people understand that sign. It means that the 45 mph section is over and the normal speed can resume. The normal speed on a county road is 55 mph unless otherwise marked (see the beginning of this paragraph). I think some people think that they have to go slower than 45 when they see the word 'End' on the sign.

I was getting desperate to go a little faster than the 25 mph the 'student driver' car was going. I thought maybe the instructor would take the student down Poorhouse Road and then I could get going. But, no. They continued on at a leisurely pace, 25 mph and sometimes speeding up to almost 30 mph. Whee! Glad I had my seat belt on.

I understand that people (teens) need to get driving practice and I appreciate the need for safety, but why take a novice driver on a twisty, turny road like Browntown Rd? And why instruct him to drive way under the speed limit? Luckily, I was able to get home before something bad happened in my car.

Who would I send the cleaning bill to?

Is it illegal to honk at student driver cars? :)
